Design & Add Sidebar Graphics/Banners
Estimated Time of Completion: 6 hours
As a business owner, your blogs are written of course to entertain and engage, but just as importantly, to convert. While your reader is enjoying your content, it’s wise to pepper in banners promoting a next step your prospects can take.
These banners work best if they're promoting something that’s an easy next step for a cold audience – so not a $1,000 sale, but instead a consult, a lead magnet, a $1 workshop ticket, a webinar or something that’s a similarly low-level commitment.
Your Doer has a range of templates of high-converting banners that we use. Or you can pick from one of the many Sidebar Banner templates that Canva has ready to go!
They’ll update them and align them to your brand and offers and place them wherever you wish on your blog.
This can include wide banners throughout the blog itself and tall banners in the sidebar.
TO BRIEF YOUR DOER:
- If you're utilising the Project Management Tool; *Basecamp, add this as a task to your project's To Do's
- You'll need to describe the task. We'd recommend 'Design & Add Sidebar Graphics/Banners'
- Assign the To-Do to your Doer
- Set a Due Date
- Add notes:
- Advise your Doer of the template number you have selected from those on offer below. If you'd prefer a different design, provide the link to this.
- You can also provide your Doer with this URL in order to provide them with context on the task.
- You need to let your Doer know the headline of the banner, the subheadings, and the test/call-to-action would you like on the button.
- If you have particular requests/requirements for the layout or images used in the banner, pop these here in the task notes.
- Let your Doer know where to put the banner once complete - eg. uploaded to Basecamp, added to your blog's sidebar.
- Don't assume - particularly if you're just starting out with your Doer it's always best to provide as much information as possible. If you have extensive notes, we'd recommend recording a Loom.
*If you're new to Basecamp and need further guidance, check out this tutorial that'll take you through the ropes.
Please note that you'll need a Canva Pro account in order for your Doer to transfer the template to your Canva profile. Free accounts do not have this capability.
