Create Connections Between Automated Workflows

Estimated Time of Completion: 4 hours

If you’re using Mailchimp, you’ll be loving the cheap price but will probably be a little frustrated by the limitations of this tool.

One of the big limitations of Mailchimp the inability to automatically stop nurtures when a prospect enters another nurture.

So for example, let’s say you have a prospect that requests a lead magnet. You put them in the lead magnet email nurture that sends them the lead magnet and encourages them to take the next step and book a consult with you. Then when they end up booking a consult, you’ll want them to automatically go into a pre-consult nurture getting them excited and ready for their consult...

The problem with Mailchimp is that you can’t automatically stop nurtures so the prospect would start getting emails preparing them for their consult at the same time as they’re getting emails still encouraging them to book a consult – not great.

With a third party tool called “Zapier”, you can get set-up workflow automations that can automatically remove someone from a specific nurture when they enter another one. Your Doer can set this up for you so simply explain how you want the customer to travel and they’ll be able to automate the connection for you.

TO BRIEF YOUR DOER:

  • If you're utilising the Project Management Tool; *Basecamp, add this as a task to your project's To Do's
    • You'll need to describe the task. We'd recommend 'Create Connections Between Automated Workflows: EM0021'
    • Assign the To Do to your Doer
    • Set a Due Date
    • Add notes:
      • You can provide your Doer with this URL in order to provide them with context on the task.
      • List the connections you'd like created
      • List the actions you'd like to happen when created
      • Ensure your Doer has access to your Zapier account
      • Add in any other notes or requirements that might be relevant.
      • Don't assume - particularly if you're just starting out with your Doer it's always best to provide as much information as possible.
    • If you have extensive notes, we'd recommend recording a Loom.
