Approve Requests to Join Facebook Groups
Estimated Time of Completion: 0.5 hours
As the owner of a Facebook Group, you’ll often want to maintain a level of control over who is approved to join the group.
If it’s a free Facebook Group, you’ll probably want to have them answer an automated question or two to ensure they’re a good fit.
And if it’s a paid Facebook Group set-up just for paying members or customers, well, you’ll want them to enter their email address so they can be cross-checked in your system to ensure they’re a paying member.
Trust me, so many people try to join private Facebook groups who shouldn’t so this is an important but time-consuming job.
Add this to your Doers daily list of tasks they should complete so that they can check group requests daily and approve members accordingly.
TO BRIEF YOUR DOER:
- If you're utilising the Project Management Tool; *Basecamp, add this as a task to your project's To Do's
- You'll need to describe the task. We'd recommend 'Approve Requests to Join Facebook Groups'
- Assign the To-Do to your Doer
- Set Due Date
- Add notes:
- You can provide your Doer with this URL in order to provide them with context on the task
- Ensure your Doer has admin access to your Facebook Group(s)
- Provide to your Doer the list of criteria to be met before approving requests and the questions do you want to ask people who request to join your group, e.g. email, do you agree to the rules, etc.
- Add in any other information, links or requirements that might be relevant.
- Don't assume - particularly if you're just starting out with your Doer it's always best to provide as much information as possible. If you have extensive notes, we'd recommend recording a Loom.
