Merge Duplicate Contacts in Your CRM

When you’re growing a big database, there can sometimes be duplicate contacts created so it’s best to have your Doer clean this up every few months. 

Your Doer is trained in how to merge duplicate contacts in your CRM so your database is clean and current but your contact information is protected and retained.

TO BRIEF YOUR DOER:

• If you're utilising the Project Management Tool; *Basecamp, add this as a task to your project's To Do's
  •  You'll need to describe the task. We'd recommend 'Merge Duplicate Contacts in CRM'
  • Assign the To-Do to your Doer
  • Set Due Date
  • Add notes:
    • You can provide your Doer with this URL in order to provide them with context on the task. 
    • Ensure your Doer has access/logins to your CRM.
    • Do you always want contacts merged if your contact has multiple other email addresses under their name in your system? Let your Doer know whether this will be a recurring responsibility or if this is a one-off clean up.
    • Add in any other notes or requirements that might be relevant to the task
    • Don't assume - particularly if you're just starting out with your Doer it's always best to provide as much information as possible. If you have extensive notes, we'd recommend recording a Loom.
