Create Helpscout Automated Workflows

If you're using Helpscout in your business, you might want to create workflows in order to automate and streamline your emailing processes. 

What's a workflow? They're basically conditions that trigger a set of actions eg. if the subject line contains "X", then add a tag, send an email to the customer, and copy the email to a folder.

TO BRIEF YOUR DOER:

  • If you're utilising the Project Management Tool; *Basecamp, add this as a task to your project's To Do's
    • You'll need to describe the task. We'd recommend 'Create Automated Workflows in Helpscout: EM0017'
    • Assign the To Do to your Doer
    • Set a Due Date
    • Add notes: 
      • You can provide your Doer with this URL in order to provide them with context on the task
      • Ensure your Doer has access to your Helpscout account
      • Advise your Doer of the email address(es) the workflow is to be set up to
      • Provide instructions on what you'd like the workflows to do
      • Add in any other notes or requirements that might be relevant. 
      • Don't assume - particularly if you're just starting out with your Doer it's always best to provide as much information as possible. If you have extensive notes, we'd recommend recording a Loom.
